The state of the art report is the result of the literature review conducted to inform the development of SIMOnS mobile app. This review comprises research studies and online tools on learning and assessing digital skills with particular interest in the DigComp framework.

SIMOnS app is the main output of the project and consists of a gamified mobile app designed to assess and boost the digital skills of university students, making them more confident and job-ready in today's tech-driven world.
It is an adaptive micro-learning tool that includes a quick self-assessment survey that directs students to personalised content based on the EU's DigComp framework. This content comprises challenging exercises and engaging videos, designed to cover 21 key competencies like information literacy, communication, content creation, safety, and problem-solving.

Evaluation of the impact of the pilot on student levels of digital literacy, as well as the usefulness of the SIMOnS app in student improvement of digital skills. It presents country-level analysis of the participants within the consortium.
